Dear ULUBUDA members,
This coming Monday we will be having a
*MEDITATION SESSION with Dimitri*
but
*ULUBUDA NEEDS YOUR **HELP**!!!*
Most of our exco members will not be able to make the session this Monday
but Maya, our Dharma Co-ordinator has so kindly offered to co-ordinate the
session anyway. So we really need your help!!!
If you're able to just come a little earlier, anytime between 6.15 and 6.45
p.m., *PLEASE, PLEASE *do come along to help Maya set-up the room.
If you think you are able to assist, *please reply *to this e-mail!
However if you don't reply but realise you have the free time before 7p.m.
on Monday, please do pop by our meeting room (Room 2E) or give Maya a call
at 07950190090.
For those who plan to just join us for the first time, our session will be
conducted by Dimitri, a lay Buddhist practitioner who was previously a monk.
He is really approachable and great at answering any of your questions from
meditation to Buddhism and anything else related. =)
Here is Dimitri's contact for those who have requested, papakha at gmail.com.
Feel free to forward him any queries regarding our previous sessions,
meditation and Buddhism.
*Event Details*
*Date:* 26th October 2009, Monday
*Place:* Room 2E, 2nd floor, ULU Building (for directions, please click
http://www.ulu.co.uk/content/index.php?page=13)
*Time:* 7pm onwards (please feel free to join-in anytime after your
lectures/classes end, even if in the middle of the session)
**FREE Buddhist books from the ULUBUDA stock/library will be laid out for
distribution
Note:
1. Anyone and everyone can join in! You do not need to have any experience
in meditation to try it out. We have an experienced teacher within our midst
so you are free to seek guidance at any point in time.
2. For those who would like to sign-up for membership with ULUBUDA you can
do so during this session. Just bring along your ULU card or get one from
the reception free of charge and £4 for the membership fee*.
(*ULUBUDA considers this a donation as we believe the Dharma should be free
and contribution should be based upon the contributor's own discretion but
collection is made due to the minimum membership fee required by ULU.
However, be rest assured that at the end of the day, all the money goes back
into the society's fund and is used for the benefit of all our members =) )
Have a good weekend everyone =)
With Metta,
ULUBUDA exco 2009/10
